Great job, Lee -- thanks for video and especially for transcript.

I'm pretty sure you're more correct being optimistic, my guess is about 70% as good as the top optimistic 2 year case for Trump. Some 100%, some 50, 20; some 120%.

The 2026 midterms will be the real voter test.

Workers won't get a lot more good jobs in manufacturing, even with more factories -- already a ton of automation. But local US production does mean higher supply, lower prices, and lots of ok jobs like delivery / loading. However, there's plenty of good work available in House Construction, where it's legal.

Wow. This is great. There’s already a transcript for the conversation. Was this automatically generated by the Substack Live feature or is that some special sauce?

Wow that’s very cool. Totally automatic - I didn’t even realize it would be there

So this technology to produce a transcript from a video lecture or conversation was part of a dream technology of mine in 2007. I wanted the ability to search for key concepts in lectures in graduate school. Let’s say that I want to learn more about an obscure concept in engineering. Something that is not easily found on the web or in textbooks. By searching all lectures within a given graduate school department for a key word I would quickly be able to watch those sections of the lecture and thus more quickly learn the concept. This technology is very close to doing that. I can search the transcript for a key word and then simply click on those words in the transcript and be instantly taken to that section of the video and start watching. This is awesome. Thanks for hosting and posting.
